My mission is to help people experience the awesome, living presence of our God. My desire is for all my words, all my deeds, and all my dreams to glorify Him. My passion is to see hearts transformed by grace through Jesus Christ. My prayer is that He will find me to be a faithful and open vessel that He can flow through to accomplish His will.

name story

Joachima (pronounced jaw-kee-ma) is Hebrew in origin, and means "established by Yaweh." Joachima is known as Kim to all her family and friends. So, what's the story behind the name? Kim's mother named her Joachima when a priest informed her that "Kim" is unacceptable unless the root is founded in scripture. In order to fulfill this requirement, the search was on. In biblical history, it is noted that Joachim and Anna were the parents of Mary, mother of Jesus, and therefore the female version of this name was adopted.

about

Joachima Kim is a songwriter / worship leader and serves as Worship Leader at Evangel Assembly of God in Mays Landing, NJ. Her husband, Jim, is the SoundTechnician. They have three grown children and make their home in Vineland, NJ. Kim has written over 50 songs, mostly for congregational worship. She was inspired to record her music so that she could leave a legacy of praise to her children. Others began asking for songs to take home with them, and this led to the birth of Kim's CD, Created To Worship, featuring 10 original songs, which was completed in 2004. A new CD project with all original songs is in the planning.

Kim just came back from a wonderful night at Cup of Grace Coffeehouse in Mullica Hill, NJ.

CD Update - Yes, the new CD is nearly completed. We're working on the last song and hope to have it ready by Christmas. We'll keep you posted.
